CREPE PAPER is a thin, slightly stretchy, crinkled colored paper, used for wrapping presents or making decorations. It is usually pertained to as CRINKLY DECORATIVE PAPER.

Crepe paper is a general descriptive term for paper that imitates the effect of the fabric. It is made by a water process, which imparts the texture onto ordinarily smooth paper. It was critical to the invention of masking tape! The accordion texture allows the tape to partially adhere to the surface, making it easily removable. (more)

CELLOPHANE is a flexible, highly transparent film or foil derived from a natural product – wood or cotton linters pulp called cellulose.

APPLICATION:

The storage of food, however, remains its primary use. Some food products that store well in cellophane include baked goods, candies, nuts, dried fruits, spices, and cake mixes. Cellophane is also a good choice for packaging greasy or oily products and for decoration purposes, due to its variety of colors. (more)

GREASEPROOF PAPER is a traditional food wrapping material with a natural barrier against fatty and sticky foods, keeping food fresh, whilst allowing it to breathe. Coated on one side and virtually impervious to grease, this is ideal for wrapping cold meat, cheese, fatty foods, sandwiches with moist fillings and general refrigerator storage.

Greaseproof paper is made from wood pulps which are highly hydrated so that the resulting paper is resistant to oil and grease. The basis weights range from 20 to 50 lbs. (more)

When it comes to covering materials from sunlight to raindrops, we always think of one thing – TARPAULIN.

Tarp, or tarpaulin, is an amazingly versatile object. One of their most useful features is that they are weatherproof or waterproof. This makes tarps essential for camping and hiking excursions. A tarp can easily be made into a tent or lean-to that will give shelter from the rain. They also make great ground sheets that prevent moisture from contacting sleeping campers and soaking their bedding. (more)

GLASSINE is a thin dense paper that is transparent or semi-transparent. It has a high resistance to the passage of air, and is almost impervious to the passage of water vapor. Aside from food wrapping, glassine is the choice of interleaving or storage of artwork. This translucent sheet will not smudge pastel, charcoal, or graphite drawings.

Glassine paper is a super-calendared paper manufactured principally from chemical wood pulp, hay pulp and cotton pulp, which have been beaten to secure a high degree of stock hydration. It has a smooth like wax paper surface, which gives credit to its grease resistant characteristic and is acid-free. That is why most oily foods are wrapped with this kind of paper. (more)
